Prayer

“Great Spirit of All,

Oneness that dwells within and beyond all things,

be with us today.

Make your presence known to us,

that we might not deny our interconnectedness,

that we might believe in our inherent and inescapable network of mutuality,

that we might know that brokenness among any is brokenness among all,

and in so knowing,

that we might mend the web,

re-weave the rent fabric,

and heal our broken world until it is whole again.

May it be so,

and may we be among those who make it so.

And may there be comfort for those who need it most in the meantime.

Amen, Amein, Amin, and Blessed Be.

Spirit of life and love,

be with us today as we unravel old stories

and weave new wisdom.

Open our ears to hear the voices of the margins that speak

of ways we might dream things differently.

Help us

to remember that traditions were once born as new things,

and that traditions can change,

as we can change, and

new ones are born all the time.

Teach us to change, together,

in harmonious

and empowering ways;

urge us widen our circle and expand

our hearts

and minds.

Thank you for the gift of life,

and life’s opportunity to lean into greater and greater love.

Amein.
